FUJITSU MULTI 8 AT WARSAW UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

FUJITSU MULTI 8 AT WARSAW UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

2011/07/20

Within the program "Technical Universities with KLIMA-THERM" the reading room of Faculty of Environmental Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology was equipped with state of the art air-conditioning and heating system FUJITSU MULTI 8.

The system is composed of three wall-mounted indoor units: ASYG07LJCA air conditioner of cooling capacity 2,0 kW located in the back office, and in the main premises - two ASYG18LFCA units with a capacity of 5,0 kW each. Outdoor unit bearing symbol AOYG45LAT8 with a capacity of 14kW was located on the roof of the building. The works included engineering designing, supply and installation of air-conditioning equipment, along with the implementation of freon, condensation and power installations, as well as built-in works on existing ventilating duct.

COMFORTABLE LEARNING AND WORKING

The project of fitting-out the reading room at Faculty of Environmental Engineering constitutes one of the elements of the program called “Technical Universities with KLIMA-THERM”. It’s key objective is to support academic circles in the education of students at technical universities - future HVAC professionals.

Official handover of FUJITSU MULTI 8 air-conditioning system took place on 13th July 2011 with the participation of the authorities of Warsaw University of Technology, library staff and KLIMA-THERM representatives. The event was accompanied by a symbolic launch of air-conditioning equipment along with a brief exchange of opinion summarizing the mutual cooperation.

 - Air-conditioning in lecture rooms is to create more comfortable learning and working conditions for our students. What’s more, a joint initiative of academics and the business milieu implemented as a part of the Program “Technical Universities with KLIMA-THERM S.A.” will translate into not only a better experience of studying, but also will provide an important educational value - emphasized the dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Prof. PhD Eng. Bernard Zawada.

FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ACADEMIC CIRCLE

For more than 4 years since the program “Technical Universities with KLIMA-THERM S.A.” was launched KLIMA-THERM have managed to establish regular cooperation with 18 biggest academic centres in Poland. It covers many different activities like e.g. creating didactic posts, conducting technical trainings meetings with students, practical laboratory classes at KLIMA-THERM Academy in Gdańsk, participation in job fair, offering attractive engineering practices as well as founding prizes for the authors of the best master’s theses.

- The program is open. In addition to the implementation of statutory projects resulting from our substantive assumptions the type and scope of such activities depend to a large extent on the individual expectations and needs of each universities – and these are often initiated by the students themselves - notes Michał Zalewski, Head of Training at KLIMA-THERM Academy.

Installation of FUJITSU MULI 8 in the reading room at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering is the second project carried out jointly with the Warsaw University of Technology in respect to providing students with modern air-conditioning, heating and ventilation appliances. In April 2010 took place the grand opening of the first KLIMA-THERM trade room located in the territory of the Heating and Air Conditioning Institute.
