GRAND OPENING OF THE KLIMA-THERM S.A. TRADE ROOM ON WARSAW POLYTECHNIC2010/04/22
On 21st April this year the Environmental Engineering Department of Warsaw Polytechnic hosted a grand opening of the first KLIMA-THERM trade room located in the territory of the Heating and Air Conditioning Institute. The company had carried out a thorough renovation of the lecture theatre and equipped it with ait handling units by Fujitsu as well as numerous training materials.
The opening was performed by the representatives of the Polytechnic including prof. dr hab. Inż. (Associate Professor and Engineer) Bernard Zawada - the Dean of the Environmental Engineering Department and prof. dr hab. Inż. (Associate Professor and Engineer) Marian Rosiński - the Director of the Heating and Air Conditioning Institute. On behalf of KLIMA-THERM S.A the ceremony was participated by the representatives of the company’s managing board Mr Marek Kupiec – Technical Director and Mr Andrzej Walendowicz, Commercial Director.
Both sides mutually underlined the crucial role of partnership cooperation between academic and business circles in the process of educating students of technical universities. Opening a trade room on one of the biggest technical universities in Poland has been our dream for a very long time. Combining thorough theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the latest air conditioning, cooling, heating devices and systems is the best investment that we can jointly make, this is an investment in the future specialist staff that will determine directions for the development of the HVAC trade – said Mr Marek Kupiec – Vice President of the Board and Technical Director of KLIMA-THERM S.A.
The project of creating a trade room on Warsaw Polytechnic constitutes one of the elements of the ‘Technical Universities with KLIMA-THERM S.A.’ scheme. Throughout over three years of its active operation KLIMA-THERM managed to establish regular cooperation with 10 biggest academic centres in Poland. This cooperation, apart from creating didactical posts, covers series of lectures and meetings with students, practical laboratory classes in KLIMA-THERM Academy in Gdańsk, participation in job fair, attractive apprenticeships and trainings as well as prizes for the authors of the best master’s theses.
